Can't add devices and brand new Aria Air does not pair/sync

Using a Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 3

When going to add a new device, the "What are you setting up?" page never loads. The Aria Air claims it should just work if i weigh myself on the "Today" screen. But that also fails to work.

Here is what I've tried:

All apps/OS is updated 

Tried on and off WiFi 

Toggled WiFi and Bluetooth on/off

Tried restarting phone

Cleared Fitbit apps Cache

Same issue.

What are you setting up just shows the circle going round and around...

I ended up completely reinstalling the FitBit app and was able to add it. But lo and behold. After being added it still doesn't work. The Aria Air seems to be universally panned online. So I am just going to return it. 

 

When trying to remove it from my devices, the app got stuck spinning forever again just trying to remove it. I knew Google Fit was bad, but FitBit seems to be just as bad.

so... uninstalling and reinstalling the App fixed the 'What are you setting up?" screen being stuck, so something beyond just cache, more likely an app data issue.

By reinstalling, I mean going into the App settings in Android and Deleting the Storage/Cache. That did allow me to get past the spinning forever screen when adding a device. 

If I go into it now. It's just stuck spinning forever again. So it's only a temporary fix.
