Can't add friend

Tried inviting via email through the website and on my phone

Tried going to their profile link and adding them, says friend added but they're not showing up

They tried going to my profile link and adding me, says friend added but they're not showing up

We both tried logging out and back in

Nothing is working.

Just tried adding their email address to their contact profile on my phone and adding them via "Friends with fitbit" but nothing.
Tried tapping their profile on there and adding them from their profile on my phone but nothing.

The "+ (person icon)" button next to them goes to a clock face as if it's saying it's waiting but then immediately goes back to the "+ (person icon".

Even tried just setting my weight to public but it's still not showing up on my profile...

...is this the worst company ever?
