Can't change email notification

I can't add or change the email account from gmail under notification. I have not attached a gmail account to the fitbit account, but it won't let me add the accounts on my phone's email app. I have email checked under App notification, but it's not sending notifications when I get emails.

I'm afraid I don't fully understand what you are saying. Please correct me if I'm wrong. You are trying to get email notifications to your Fitbit from the same app but from a different email account, is that correct? If not, please give me some more in-depth updates on what is going on.

 

If my understanding is correct, please try to log out from all email accounts in your phone and then only log into the one that you receive notifications for, that should do the trick.
