If you go to Settings and choose "Exercise shortcuts" you are not able to change "Connected GPS" state to any of exercises that support GPS: Walk, Bike, Run, Hike, Golf.
(Golf has GPS disabled by default so you are not able to change it).
FitBit app doesn't save any changes made by user.
This is not the issue with the tracker device, this is the FitBit App issue.
I have recorded video showing that issue.

This is not working for at least few months now. Will it be fixed?

@SilviaFitbit actually you are wrong.
GPS option is not grayed out (why are you saying something that is false statement?)
The button is clickable and it is possible to tap it:
This option is not grayed out and is available to select in FitBit app settings for exercises shortcuts.
. In regards to Walk, Run and Bike, I was able to see that our team is already assisting you through email, please continue the communication with them, this to avoid any confusion.
That is also not true. Nobody from Fitbit is currently assisting me through the email about Walk, Run and Bike exercises.
Well, actually not even one sentence you wrote in that post above is correct and true.

When I try to start one of exercises on my Charge 2: Walk, Run or Bike - it doesn;t try to find GPS from the phone/FitBit app (on Android 11).
When I try to start Hike or Interval workout - it connects to phone's GPS (connected icon in top right corner).
Video of that issue:
Why Run, Walk and Bike are not even trying to connect to GPS?
The issue is not trouble with connecting through Bluetooth - Charge 2 syncs, conencts and works just fine as Hike or Interv.Workout are GPS connected.
All exercises are have enabled "Connected GPS" option in FitBit app Settings.
I have newest FitBit app version 3.45.1. I use Android 11 on Samsung Galaxy S9.
I have uninstalled FitBit app and installed it again, cleared temp data of FitBit app. I restarted my FitBit Charge 2 and paired it to my account and to FitBit app. So the environment is fresh, however the issue still persist.

Hi @konieckropka your posts were merged as cross posting is discouraged. I'm sure you'll get some responses in the Android area.

My posts were merged? Cross posting?
What do you mean by that?
I have indeed posted TWO posts in different parts of forum - one about Charge 2 device, second - here, about FitBit application for Android.
I have described TWO completly different issues and problems.
So apparently you have DELETED my other post about issue with the tracker even thouh it was about another issue and was not related to this topic?
Can you explain why?
Is posting issues about old devices like Charge 2 not allowed in this forum?

I followed the link you shared. It redirects to the page: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/home?language=en_US
Where there are two links - one to the community (this forum) second one to https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support
I am not sure what do you want me to do there?
I am reporting issue with newest FitBit application version 3.45.1.
There are issues within application so I guess FitBit should address that issues to developers team to fix it.
I described the problem in details, also attached screenrecording.
Apparently FitBit is not going to fix the issue and let it be like it is?
BTW this is sctrictly application issue because in older applications versions of the app those features are working. In newest version doesn't.

@konieckropka Thank you for getting back.
It seems your posts were merged here, in an effort to keep the forums organized. Take into consideration that the Charge 2 forum is primarily available for customer-to-customer support, with Fitbit Moderators present in some Charge 3 threads.
In order for our Support team to continue assisting you on this, get in touch with them by using this link, from there you can choose the chat or calls option.
See you around.

I've contacted with Support on Live Chat. They told me to get to another part of the community forum to add a "feature request".
(even though I am reporting an application bug, not a feature request).
So I assume not a single FitBit employee will care about big, concerning bug about Android application?
I did report the bug with details here (on forum) and on Support page.
On forum - admins tell me to go to support.
People working in support tell me to describe the issue on the forum.

Does anyone know how to enable GPS tracking for Golf exercise and disable GPS for Walk, Run and Bike in FitBit Android app?

@konieckropka Thank you for getting back.
Sorry to hear about the experience you had with our Support team. Currently for Golf, the GPS option won't be available as described in your videos, this option is already grayed out. In regards to Walk, Run and Bike, I was able to see that our team is already assisting you through email, please continue the communication with them, this to avoid any confusion.
See you around.
