My fitbit takes 2.55GB of storage on my Andriod phone. Is this normal?

@MCBecca Welcome on board. @Odyssey13 Thanks for stopping by to help our member.
@MCBecca I've moved your post to the Android board. Thanks for the details provided and the steps tried on your own. This is odd as the Fitbit app shouldn't take too much space and to look into this, may I know the model of your phone? Do you recall since when this started to happen, or if it started after updating the Fitbit app?
In the meantime, even though you've tried some steps please give a try to the following in the given order:

Hi @MCBecca I'm using Android 9 on a Samsung S8 phone with the latest version of the app 3.45.1 and am showing 822 MB used in internal storage and 144 MB used of memory. Try rebooting your phone? Maybe clear the cache of the app and see how things go from there. Let us know.

Thank you. I restarted the phone before I asked the question. Previously, to the restart, it was 3.15 GB. I assume the restart helped, but that seems to still be a lot of space. By looking at your numbers, it is definitely a lot of space.

Do you do a lot with your Fitbit? I do challenges, get text and phone notifications, basic steps and heart rate. Maybe see if cleaning the cache of the app would help.

Yes, I tried that, too. I get notifications and do my best to reach daily and weekly goals. I check it often when I am consciously working on my numbers.

I've asked a moderator to stop by in case they might have an idea. Does seem like it's take more storage than mine.

It is Metro by T-Mobile Coolpad with Android version 9. I will try the steps you posted and see what happens. I won't be able to do it until lunch time. But I will let you know. Thank you so much for helping me out with this.
