I had problems with syncing ant tryed to remove my fitbit surge and to add it once again. When adding my device as a new one I got the 4 digit cone almost instantly, but then i see "connecting" for a very long time and nothing happens. Crapy connecion was always a big issue of fitbit surge, but now i can't even add or update my device. Sorry guys, you have to admint it - you  are lazy programers on bloetooth connectivity camp 🙂 .  Any ideas how to fix this?

The solution was to wait 1 hour (!!!) to complete the software update,
device add and sync.  Everything woks fine now. Thank you for reply.

Hello @AndriusS, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I appreciate your feedback and your comments about the connectivity of the Huawei P10 with your Surge. In this case the Huawei P10 has not been listed as compatible, so features and connectivity may fail since the app is not optimized to run with this phone.

Despite this phone has been out in the market for a while, we do not have further details this phone will be listed as compatible. It would not hurt to try the following suggestions if you are still having issues to pair your tracker:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Try setting up your device again.
  3. Turn your Fitbit device off and back on using the instructions in this post.
  4. Try setting up your device again.
  5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
  6. Try setting up your device again.
  7. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices. If your device isn't listed, you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added.

Hope this helps and for more questions stay tuned to the Fitbit Community!
