Hi @Rjmcnamara  -  this seems like a common occurrence, it may be related to a certain Fitbit App version. Have a look for other posts in the forum.

If it is an app issue it may be a matter of turning off all notifications in the Fitbit App, clear the storage cache, and also doing a logout .

After login, go to the home screen without closing the Fitbit App, click on the sync popup to pair and link the watch then re-enable the notifications and sync the watch.
