Hi Everyone,
My partner has Xiaomi brand phone that runs on android. After downloading the app we were able to create an account and log in on the desktop, but then unable to log in on his phone. We get the error "Fitbit.com currently unavailable". We were able to log him on via my iPhone though.
Have already tried the following:
Wifi or cellular doesn't make a difference
Time was already on detect automatically - but turned it off and on for good measure
Uninstalling and reinstalling

I don't think all the Xiaomi phones are supported by fitbit. You can check if your partner's is supported at www.fitbit.com/devices
If you have logged on using your iPhone then you may have created a bluetooth link to the fitbit and this may block any future attempts to connect from the Xiaomi. It's worth checking your iPhone's bluetooth settings and delete any reference to the fitbit.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. It was actually not working before I logged in with my iPhone.

Oh and I also checked and it is a compatible one 😞

It's good news that it's supported - at least you should be able to get it working.
I've just run a search for posts referring to this error message (there are quite a few!). There doesn't seem to be a common cause or fix but several posts suggest that the fitbit app needs to be upgraded to the latest version and some suggest signing on to fitbit via the web first sorts this out.
