I can not get my charge 2 to show calls or text messages. I have a Galaxy S4.

Hello @JessicaTrotta, nice to have new faces in the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering if despite you are not able to see the ID, are you able to see the call / text notifications?

 

If this is the case, my recommendation is to uninstall the app and reinstall it again. Once you have done that, try to enable the notifications again. For more help about this process take a look at this post.
