I noticed I only had one more floor of stairs to climb before reaching my goal so I walked up and down the stairs multiple times and even ran as fast as I could multiple time and nothing changes. Any ideas why?

Same issue with my charge 2, adding floors climbed even while driving. Heart rate not elevated should tell Fitbit that stairs aren't actually being climbed? Being able to delete stairs climbed should already be an option in my opinion. How is my calories used supposed to be accurate when it says I climber 60 floors that I haven't? Especially when it says I have done all these stairs while driving to work?? Lol

Hello @Juice74 welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community.
Note that your tracker calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your tracker registers a floor when it detects continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. If is not reading floors one of the reasons might be due to the tracker looks for continuous motion, pausing too long when going up a flight of stairs can cause the tracker to not count the floor.
Another cause of inaccurate floors is moisture. For example, the pathway to the altimeter on the back of your tracker can become clogged temporarily with sweat. We recommend that your tracker be worn loosely during exercise. For more tips take a look to our Wear and Care page.
Now if the tracker is reading floors while you are driving, this is related to the motion patters or vibrations may produce by holding the steering wheel. In this case the best to try is to manually remove this information by logging a driving activity for the time you where driving. This will remove steps or floors but counting the necessary calorie burned of your BMR. directions to log a manual activity can be found here.
As an additional note: I was reviewing the Android board and I found your posts went unnoticed @Capreece and @thab. I offer you an apology for not receiving an official response. It been a while but If you are experiencing issues you can let me know. I'll be around!
Hope this helps. See you around!

Thank you for the response. I have read before how the Fitbit reads counting floors. I do set to a driving activity, as well I keep the band loose. There is no sweat when I am driving as well I drive with my right hand and band is on left wrist. Funny though is that it won't count the floors in my home, which is almost 11 feet. I walk 4 blocks to get my mail, and I seem to record floors climbed, even though there is minimal, if any elevation on my route. This is why fitbit should have an option to delete floors climbed, as you explained there are so many factors that can falsely calculate climbed stairs. It doesn't make a person's information accurate in the overall daily totals.
I am not in a rush for responses, however I do read all information Fitbit has in the manual for my charge 2 and try to rectify issues before posting. Some issue are seen by many users. One thing Fitbit should immediately do, as I mentioned in another post is their 'quiz' for choosing the right band. I needed one for swimming, and it told me the charge 2. However, it shouldn't even be worn for 7 minutes in a shower? I now have an expensive band that I can't use 4 days a week for my swimming, which is my cardio. So, half of my exercise isn't being tracked, and I can't return it because it is now used. I will have to go and purchase another one to use for water, but I am.pretty sure it will be a different brand as I so far am disappointed with my product.

Hello @Juice74, thank you for your honest feedback and comments. I would suggest to try a restart with your tracker to address the inconvenience with the floors in case you haven't try it. For more info take a look at this post.
About the swimming, I'm wondering who recommended you to get the Charge 2? This tracker was not designed for swimming activities as you have noticed. The tracker that was specifically designed for this exercise is the Flex 2, which will allow you to automatically track your exercise. For more details please visit our website: https://www.fitbit.com/flex2
See you around and I will pass your feedback to our teams to improve the Fitbit experience.

I had one of the first fir bits that counted stairs (2012 I think) I haven't noticed any real change in accuracy but I have learned a few things (for 10 foot - standard house):
1. Do not change the position of your band while climbing stairs. If you lower your arm, it does not count the stairs.
2. Do not start from a dead stop or stop at the very top. 10 additional steps works, although I have gotten away with 5.
3. I've noticed that if I am carrying something, the stairs don't count. My theory is that it is because my band is above my waist.
4. If walking up a wide flight of stairs that bends, walk on the inside of the stairs. Frequently, you start all over in the count if the landing is too wide.
I've always though it would be nice if the trackers counted half flights. There are four places I need to climb 18 foot flights of stairs, and each only counts as one.

Hello @Christmas17, @Sravanthi1 and @JudeeM. Nice to see you are visiting the Fitbit Community!
I believe my suggestion will align to what you have shared with us @JudeeM. Which i would like to give you an special shout out for sharing your thoughts with us.
As it was mentioned before, your tracker registers a floor when it detects continuous motion combined with an elevation gain. 10 feet is an average between residential and commercial floor heights. If the floors you're climbing are shorter than 10 feet, you may find that the Fitbit tracker's floor count doesn't exactly match how many floors you've gone up.
@Christmas17 and @Sravanthi1, have you tried any of the recommendations mentioned here before? Keep in mind If you stop for too long or climb them slowly then the tracker may not count your floors climbed. Also moisture may interrupt the reading of your floors, perhaps the following section will give you some extra help: Wear & Care. A restart might be another solution, so just check this post as a matter of review, it might get you back on track.
See you later until the next opportunity.
