Unable to set up Alta with Acer tablet

I got an alta for Christmas and i am trying to set my account up on my acer android tablet but it is not letting me. It brings up my calories and kilometres but not my steps. Any thoughts?

Hello @Elainejeffrey, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community and the Fitbit Family! In this case I have to mention the mobile device you are using is not listed as supported in our list of compatible devices. In some scenarios the behavior might be the same as it were a compatible device, but the difference is we cannot guarantee its behavior regarding some features or syncing your data.

However in this case as you mentioned, I'm not able to see in your Community profile a tracker paired, so I'm wondering how far are you ale to go during the set up process?

As a matter of review, I will share the following video with you although I'm sure you know all about the set up process. Regardless of how far are you able to go, try these steps if the issue persists:

1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
2. Try setting up your device again.
3. Turn your Fitbit device off and back on using the instructions in this post.
4. Try setting up your device again.
5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
6. Try setting up your device again.
7. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

If that does not work, I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer. I know is not the best solution, but rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
