@mcphilly52 Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for reaching out about the setup of your Fitbit Charge 5 with your Samsung Flip 3. This is known issue going on at the moment affecting Flip/Fold Samsung devices. The root cause has been identified and we are working on a fix. We anticipate releasing it via an app update in early 2023. In the meantime you can use another device/smartphone to set it up and sync. Thanks for your patience.

@carlyo718 Thanks for joining the conversation. Welcome to the forums.
In case you have a spare smartphone or an Android tablet you can use an alternate device to sync the Fitbit in the mean time. Fitbit is working on a solution already. I appreciate your patience.
Happy holidays! Have a nice day.
Best AnswerIs this issue for all Fitbit watches and trackers? My phone is Samsung Flip 3, and I usually use my Charge 5, but I also have a Charge 4, Versa 2, and a Flex. Is it worth switching or will I just encounter same problem? It is interfering with my UHC Medicare Renew Rewards benefits.
It is January 7th, any later than January 13th and I would say that is not "early 2023" - do you have any updates, Sir Rodrigo?
My Fitbit cannot even recognize the time correctly!
Thanks,
MacAndTerri
This issue is truly a disgrace for FitBit and Google. As a longer term FitBit customer having had each and every generation, you have not only let us down but the lack of communication and continued misinformation leaves us long term customers with no option but to move away to other devices permanently. Too bad, liked the product, hate the customer attention/urgency.
Best AnswerMake sure that the Fitbit App is at v3.72, we where told this has brown fixed
