Hi,
I've tried to log into the new app via Google, and of course my existing Fitbit Versa 2 is not paired. I've tried to set this up, but the device itself has a lock screen stating Unlock with Your Phone. Catch 22 as I need it to display the 4 digit code so I can pair it... to unlock it!
I would prefer not to have to do a hard reset of the Versa 2 unless I can keep the same watch face? (Had it for years, and very used to it!!)

Hello there @Kerrytoz, welcome to the Fitbit Community.
Unfortunately, if the device is not paired to your app, you will need to perform a factory reset on the device.
**Disclaimer:** Factory resetting the device will erase all data and settings, including the watch face. However, you can set up the same watch face again after pairing the device with the new app.
To perform a factory reset on your Fitbit Versa 2, follow these steps:
- Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
- After the screen turns off, you will feel a brief vibration.
- When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
- Wait until the blue logo appears and then disappear.
- Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it again, until you feel one more vibration.
- After you feel this vibration, release the button.
- This vibration indicates that you have started the factory reset.
Once the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device will display the image with the phone icon and the setup prompt. Set up your watch again by following the instructions in: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
