Can't reach fitbit.com to sync

Can you please remove that requirement?

If the site is down, if I have no internet for whatever reason, I can't sync my fitbit to my phone.  Shouldn't I be able to see the number of steps on my phone even if there is no internet connection or if your site is down?

Make it sync to the site later when it can.

That is the only way it will work. Your device has to connect to the Fitbit servers in case you previously sync'd with another device or do so later. When you sync it pulls the most recent data from the servers first before updating the servers and the current device you are syncing with.

The Fitbit itself keeps track of the steps.  That info should be available to the app through the bluetooth connection.  Therefore reaching the Fitbit servers shouldn't be necessary to simply view the steps.

In my case, I have the Flex, so the only way to accurately view the steps is via the app.

For those with the Charge/Charge HR, you can see the steps on its display.  And since that info is there, the app should be able to display that info without talking to the Fitbit servers.

So if you're on a cruise, on a plane, on a hike where there is no cell service, you should still be able to look at how many steps you've done.

Un freaking believable.  I had nothing but trouble for days and today I go way over my goal and I can't sync them.  How can I put them in manually due to your site being down.  I almost had it with your product.   I am so very very upset!!!!!!!!   it is 9:28 what I have to wait up for another hour or so till your site it up?  OMG!  fix it so when this happens or I don't get my phone out of my car to get my steps sync that I can enter them manually or something!!!!!
