Hi,
I have noticed an issue since about a week or two on my pixel watch 3. When I am recording an activity and I locked the screen, I can pause the activity, but after that it will not resume anymore. It does vibrate like it should do when resuming, but the activity will remain paused.
It doesn't matter if I pause via the side button or via unlocking the screen and swipe to the touchscreen pause button.
So whenever the screen has been locked sometime during the activity, unpausing it is not possible.
I have already tried a factory reset but the issue remains.

I noticed the same issue on my PW1 last week and it got to the point where I had to reboot my watch and it wiped my entire run out. I thought it was just a problem with my watch, but not surprised it's an issue with the software. It's very frustrating! I hate standing there tapping the resume button over and over and over trying to get my workout to unpause.

The team has started to look into this issue and will be working on a fix.
Thank you for reporting the issue to both Google & Fitbit. I'm pretty sure that this is how the issue got escalated to the team.

I have the pixel 3 watch. When I pause by swiping and pressing the pause icon it will pause. However, the resume icon never appears to continue a run. Received a replacement yesterday, set it up and went for a walk this morning. Imagine my frustration to have the exact same issue! There is obviously a deeper problem here and I will be talking to customer service again!
I have found that I can resume an activity by using the assistant and saying, "resume my walk" or whatever activity I am doing. This may be a limp along solution until Google can get it fixed.
