I have just purchased a charge 2. I have a Huawei 8 and it will not sync. I have restarted everything over and over again. Twice it has said we found the tracker, connecting, then nothing. What do I do? At the moment I want to send it back.

Let's take a look at what could be happening.
Have you checked the compatibility list to see if your phone is compatible? The only Huawei 8 I could see as supported was the P8. If you are using a Honor or a Mate, those are not compatible and thus we cannot guarantee that the app will work correctly. This is because the app is not fully optimized to that specific device's software and hardware configuration.
