Hello! I just purchased a Charge 2 after a year with a Charge HR. The Charge HR has broken. I have a Samsung Rugby with Android system. The old Charge HR and an Aria scale were easily added to the phone app for Fitbit. I have gone through the entire setup process for the Charge 2 and the setup stops me with a message, "you must update the application before proceeding with setup". The application is on auto-update and the shows that it is updated on GooglePlay. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, twice. I also deleted the defunct Charge HR from my account, thinking it might be interfering somehow. No luck. Can anyone give any advice on how to complete the Charge 2 setup? Thanks!

Welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner. Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. If you are having problems setting up your tracker, I recommend checking if your phone is a compatible mobile device. If your phone is not compatible, that's the reason why you are having problems pairing your Fitbit and recommend follow the setup procedure from a computer. Now if your phone is compatible, please follow these steps to paired the device:
1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
2. Tap Devices.
3. Tap the + icon in the top right corner.
4. If you're replacing a tracker, tap the tracker you want to replace. If you're setting up a new tracker, tap Add a new Device.
5. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

I'm having a similar problem on my Samsung Rugby. It keeps telling me to update the software which is up to date
