Can't sync with pixel

Hi, I've had a fit bit Alta hr for over 2 years and it used to sync just fine with my pixel, then all of a sudden it stopped syncing this summer. I had tried uninstalling the Fitbit app, turning off and on my Bluetooth, updating my system, and nothing worked. It was able to recognize my phone/app but when I entered the four digit number to sync, it wouldn't connect. Then I tried my second Fitbit alta HR and it synced fine. Now my second Fitbit is doing the same thing (I've tried uninstalling the app, tried to connect, Fitbit shows the 4 digit number to sync but then doesn't sync)... I'm not about to purchase a third Fitbit, please help.

SAME!  My brand new versa died after 5 months, fitbit was zero help. Now my Alta at the start of this year no long will sync with my pixel 3a. Deleted both device and app. Recognizes each other WILL NOT sync.
