Cannot disable exercise detection

Using a Pixel watch. I have every type of exercise ignored. I have notifications for auto detected exercise disabled.  No matter. Everytime I ride my bike (tracked by bike mounted GPS) I get a notification to track the ride!  Fitbit will just not be denied!

Hi, @DaveinMaine, welcome to the community, In the Fitbit app "Today " screen on your phone touch your icon in the top right corner>Fitbit settings>push notifications>at "auto-tracked exercises" put the slider to the on position then the off position. (I note what you say about this setting) Now go to the PW app and touch "Notifications" and ensure the "New app notifications" slider is in the off position (if you recently updated the app it may have disturbed your previous settings)

Is your bike-mounted GPS paired with your Fitbit app via "Health Connect" or the Bike GPS app?

Let us know how you get on by posting here again.

Cheers

Another suggestion if that doesn't work.  Not sure this applies to Pixel watch but I expect so.  Using the  Exercise App,  select Bike, the swipe up to see options specific to Bike.  Look for "Bike detect".  If it is set 'on', turn it 'off.  That causes a lot of confusion.  It exists I think also for walk and run, and seems to be set as default.  I think it activates after 10 minutes and acts as if you have started it in the Exercise App, regardless of the auto-recognized settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I finally resorted to just disabling Fitbit notifications for the watch and the phone.  It didn't work. Even with notifications disabled I still get the prompt to start the exercise
