I cannot manually log exercises. This is a widely reported issue.
Steps I have taken:
These steps do not work. What is being done to fix this?

Hi, @alexschmalex , I have just tested this on my Android app and am not able to replicate the issue that you are reporting.
I go to my Fitbit app on my Android phone, navigate to the exercise screen and at the bottom right I see the option “Add exercise”. Clicking on that I have the option either to start tracking or to log activity. If I choose log activity I am able to choose an exercise (I chose walk) and then I can select date, time, duration and distance and then save (top right). The Fitbit calculates calories for me based on my personal data of age, weight, height and sex.
Are you seeing these options?
If not, could you share with us exactly how you are trying to create your manual log? If you are able to load screen shots that would be super helpful. Please give us as much information as you can so someone can help you with your issue.

Hi, @alexschmalex I confirm that I can log spinning on the Android app. It isn’t on the “most popular” list so you will need to use the search icon top right. If you start to type spinning, “Spinning manual log” will come up, and you will need to fill in date, time, and duration (no distance, of course, in this case). You can either insert your own calorie estimate or allow the Fitbit to compute this for you based on height, weight, age, sex and heart rate detected during that time period).
Once you have manually logged spinning it will appear in your “recent searches” so you won’t have to search for it again.
I hope this helps!

I am having this issue too and those steps did not solve it.
I had to re-add a swim routine from 3-3-25 and it shows it after I save in the weekly exercise days but then it disappears immediately.

Same here
I can manually log most things, but for some reason when I add spin it doesn't remember when I close and reopen the app, advice welcomed

I'm also having this same issue. If I forget my watch for a spin class, I assume I can manually add the spin class and approximate calories burned after. I go through the process, hit "Save" then nothing saves. I try multiple times, nothing saves. I've cleared cache, cleared storage, restarted my phone, logged out, uninstalled the app, force stop. Nothing works.

I forgot to add, I'm on Android, Pixel 7, and have a Fitbit Versa 2. Have all the latest updates. I've seen a few different posts also saying the same thing from last year, it doesn't seem like it's an issue that is being fixed.

I have had this issue since last summer, and was told it was a known issue and being worked on. I have tried everything mentioned above, with no result. And I have tried again after each app update.
Feels like the company has given up trying, and I'm about to give up, too.
I am on Samsung Galaxy 23+, with all current updates on OS and app.

This is exactly how I do it each time, and it still does not work. It seemed to work better when the app still allowed me to "start tracking" (instead of "manually log") and then "add previous exercise". When the app forced me to manually log instead I was able to do it for a while and then about August it stopped accepting my log.
I just tried again and I find it will log another activity, like "walk", but it won't log when I enter "spinning manual log".

I just found a workaround a couple days ago and am posting here to see if it works for you and others.
I figured out that manually logging another exercise that works and going back to edit that activity to "Spinning Manual Log" actually saves and posts as intended. So, I will go in and manually log another activity, like "Bike", which seems to work fine. I'll put in all the info, and put "1" for distance as it's a required field. It posts successfully, then I'll click back in, press the edit pencil symbol, change to Spinning Manual Log, re-enter any info from fields that reset, hit save, and voila. It saves.
Would be great if Fitbit just fixed this bug so it works as it's supposed to, but, for now I'm happy this will do.

Thank you! That's the first thing I have found that works!
However, it still needs to be addressed by the techs, this is silly for it not to work the right way!
Thanks again!

I'm having an issue with a number of the manual activities missing. Squash is no longer a recognised activity, which was available last week. Driving has not been there for a number of weeks. As already mentioned, spinning isn't available and neither is tennis for me.

Hello @Julesh175
Please let us know what Fitbit device you're using and the version of your Fitbit app.
I'm able to find Squash, Tennis, & Spinning Manually Log in my Fitbit app, ver. 4.38.

@RiekoC I have a charge 6 - firmware version 66.20001.210.26
Fitbit app version - 4.38 (110235289)
It all worked fine last week but now the manual activity search function doesn't seem to work at all. No matter what you type it doesn't return any results
Thanks

I've just signed out, performed a forced stop and signed back in. This seems to have fixed the issue, as I can now search for activities and they appear.
Thanks for your help
