Device: Samsung S23
Whenever I try to enter 'Date, time & units' in the Fitbit app settings, it "shuts down" and go back to the main dashboard.
I've tried contacting Google support to no avail, tried restarting, reinstalling .. nothing works.
Hopefully someone can help me

Hi, @Cramedrop welcome to the community, may I suggest you review your restarting/reinstalling process? Sync your Fitbit app>Go to your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>Force stop>clear cache>clear storage>Uninstall> Restart your phone>reload the Fitbit app & set up again>Go to the Fitbit app in your phone settings again, in Permissions ensure all are allowed (you can always disallow those you don't like later) set Mobile data usage to allow background data, allow battery usage in the background. I assume you have an internet connection and enough credit in your mobile data account.
If you want to contact "Customer Support," work through steps one and two, then use the Chat facility or phone for prompt attention.
I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on.
Cheers

Thanks for your answer!
Unfortunately it didn't help.. I retried the reinstalling process, as you described it, but the error persists.
Sometimes, when I try enough times, the app will even crash completely. See image below (FYI: the text says "fitbit keeps stopping").

Hi, @Cramedrop, thanks for the feedback, which Fitbit device are you using? May I suggest you try setting the App language to "English" we have seen examples in the past where non-English settings behave unexpectedly.
Let us know by posting here again.
Cheers

Thanks for your quick response!
Device: Fitbit Inspire 3 (purchased september 2024)
I cant locate a language setting within the app itself, the app language was English already though. However I've now tried changing my system language to English, but the crashing error remains.

I have the same problem. I tried to clean cache and storage, tried to change app language. But app always crashes, when I open 'Data time & units' settings.

I have the same problem. Cant change 12 to 24 hours format. The same error. Fotbit charge 5
It doesnt work
yes, the same error... application error. Every time I trying to stars time and data adjustment...
I tried changing the language to English, clearing the cache, clearing the storage. So far, nothing helps. I wanted to change the date from 12-hour format to 24-hour format. And units of measurement too. But so far it does not work. Device Fitbit 5.
Please let me know if the problem will be solved. And what will the support team answer. Is there any point in writing there at all?

Unfortunately, support didn't help me at all; they only replied, "Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible."
