Cardio Load seems misleading at a day vs week level

I'm wondering if there is a bug in Cardio Load or if I'm misunderstanding it. I'm set to improving fitness. At the start of each week, Cardio Load gives me a very high goal (~80 or 90) and a message that this goal will help me "get back on track". If I don't hit that goal, it ups it the next day (which by itself is not strange). But then towards the end of the week, it significantly drops my goals (to 10 or 15) and tells me to take it easy to avoid overtraining. Then the week starts over, and presumably because the average of the past few days is so low, it tells me I'm behind, and the cycle repeats. I'm doing basically what Fitbit suggests activity wise, but it feels like its broken. Why shouldn't it spread the goal over the week more smoothly, and why is it telling me I'm "behind" if its the one that told me to take it easy for a few days?

@a223a I agree that there is something unusual with Cardio Load. When the Readiness Score feature was first introduced, it took a while for it to start making sense. I wonder if something similar is happening with Cardio Load. Maybe it will start working better when it has more data.

I think mine is running a day behind. Yesterday my recommended Cardio Load was 100 to 120. I wasn't feeling well, so I took an easy walk in the park. Today I'm feeling better but my Cardio Load recommendation is 1 to 19.

I don't have any particular insight into this, but my suggestion would be to do what feels right to you and let Cardio Load figure it out. Maybe you can teach Cardio Load to give you better recommendations.
