Challenges problem again -why?

First day of new year, and here we go again. I am only in 3 challenges, and getting that message about only being allowed in 5 challenges at a time. Really? Again? Sorry, but I am very fed up with this ongoing glitch!

Whenever I am invited to a challenge it only syncs a fraction of my own steps to the challenge; however, if I created the challenge then it syncs all of my steps. How do we fix this?

I have that same problem, but haven't mentioned it yet. I was kind of waiting till they fix the joining 5 challenges debacle first. Although it's frustrating enough to only be in 1 or 2 challenges, but not having all my steps sync just adds much more irritation.

I was just told by a FitBit customer service rep via email that this was the new FitBit policy.  He told me that I can only be in five challenges at a time. And, he told me that included challenges that were finished but not synced yet and challenges that I had signed up for but they hadn't started yet. 

I really hope that he was wrong and that you are correct that this is only a glitch in the app because I am very frustrated and disappointed right now that I have to turn down challenges because the app won't let me sign up.
