Charge 2 and 2.63 on Kindle

Tried my kindle to see if that had live heart rate. No.

Noticed that usually when I turn on Bluetooth on there the charge 2 shows as an available device. It is no longer listed. It still synchs. Is this now normal for this version?

I’m not sure I understand, @Lilbiddy. Are you trying to connect your Charge 2 to your Kindle? That won’t work. The Kindle e-reader is not a supported device.

Hi @SunsetRunner it does work with the old version of the app available on Amazon. This is my backup for when an update is buggy on my phone.

It synchs well enough to get data into the system.  But there is no live update of the heart rate on the tile. As I also said after the app downtime I noticed that the charge 2 doesn't show as available when I turn on the Bluetooth which it used to. But it still synchs.

@Lilbiddy  I see now that at first I was unable to see the whole title of this thread. You have a Kindle Fire. That explains it! I was trying to imagine how an e-reader could connect to a Fitbit device. Unfortunately, the Fire is not on the supported list, either. Of course that means Fitbit has not actively tested it, which is why some of the features may work, but not all.  All I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest app version on your Fire. Android/Amazon may have made changes to the app which could explain your issues.

@SunsetRunner, sorry if I confused you, it's a Kindle Fire which I have had for at least a couple of years. The old version of the app is in their app store. It's very basic but as I said it makes a handy backup if the phone app gets a bit twitchy.

By the way the front page of this forum isn't showing me the little pictures/avatars. Only showing when I open a thread, weird.

Sorry again @SunsetRunner my last remark about the avatars was made on my phone using 2.78. I just think it's odd that the heart rate stopped showing on my phone, the Bluetooth thing on the Kindle, and now the avatars all after the downtime. The update was originally fine.
