My Charge 2 is only two months old and it will not charge. I cleaned all the connections and it still won't charge.
Best AnswerI have the same problem since Friday
I did a live chat with Fitbit support tried various things and was advised Note 8 is not compatible at the moment with Charge 2 for notifications
These are the steps I went through and I am now getting text messages on my Fitbit Charge 2 from my Note 8.
Open the Fitbit app on your Note 8. Tap on the small box in the upper right corner which should take you to the screen that says Account.
Next tap on Charge 2, which will take you to another screen that says Charge 2.
Tap Notifications, you guessed it, it takes you to the Notifications screen.
From there turn on notifications and choose calls, texts, and or facebook messenger (tap text messages to add FB), and also calendar notifications. go back to Charge 2 page and tap sync now.
I'm having the same issue too. I've repaired my Fitbit Charge 2 with my Samsung Note 8, I've checked that notifications are on and enabled and my phone calls from my cell phone won't vibrate and display on my Fitbit Charge 2. Verizon Wireless is my carrier but not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Delayed post update: I figured it out a week later. Reinstalled software and works fine.
Best AnswerI've done all that several times. Notifications is turned on. Still doesn't since the app upgrade
Best Answerfor text message under notifications make ure the Pop-up display and preview message are on. This will allow a preview message on my fitbit charge 2 as well. Still trying to get my caller id to work (unknown)
Hope that helps
Best AnswerThe issue in my opinion is the default samsung text message app. I was able to change the default samsung text message app to the google text message app and it is working for me.
Steps below are how I did it:
1. Update google message as default text message app on your phone.
You have to swipe down to up/up to down to display your apps. The google message app should be on your phone already. If you see messages with a white comment and a blue background that is the one. When you you open the app it will prompt you if you want to change it to the default. You should move the google message app to your home screen and remove the samsung message app since you will no longer need it.
2. Allow notifications on google message app.
*Go to settings/notifications/Messages/Click allow notifications.
3. Update fitbit app to use the google message app
Open fitbit app/click envelope icon at top right corner/click charge 2/notifications/text messages/change to google message app. Again its the icon that has a white comment with blue background.
That should hopefully do it! If this doesn't work let me know and I will try to help.

Yeah I was wondering what was going on cause I just got my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and I figured since the phone is brand new connecting my Fit Bit that I literally just got for Christmas wouldn't be a problem, I guess I was wrong 😕😔, hopefully they come up with a solution
