I'm thinking of buying a new smartphone but it must be compatible with my fitbit (I now have a Huawei which is not supported).
Am considering the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) but it does not appear on the list. Does anyone know whether it is compatible ?
Thanks
Nancy

@Noelia2000 I was going to buy an A7 but decided not to simply because I couldn't take the risk of ending up with another phone that doesn't work with a fitbit. And neither the A6 or A8 were good enough.

Hello everyone.
As I mentioned previously, the A7 is not currently a supported device with the Fitbit app.
Also, please keep in mind that these forums are meant to discuss the Android version of the Fitbit app and not to ask for advice or reviews of a specific phone. Please keep the conversation on-topic.

Hello @Noelia2000.
Thanks for sharing your positive experience on the sitaution.
You can see in the list I shared above it is currently not part of the supported devices list.
As long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. That would explain why it is working for you, which is fantastic!
Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Excuse me, but I'm talking about fitbit compatibility with the phone. That is the minimum q you should find out to buy a fitbit product.
In any case they should update the list of compatible phones so that customers do not have to find out on their own. Thank you

Hi I am having the same issue. I've uninstalled installed 5 times now and still can't get it to sync with my bluetooth to enable notifications to my alta. I give up. That's two hours I won't get back.

I have a Galaxy A7.. And a Fitbit charge 2.. Everything worked great for the first 8 months. But now the device will sync with the phone but will not send Notifications to your phone.. So not completely compatible..
