I have been taking the same route the last few days. I have the GPS enabled on my Android phone and I use the Fitbit app to track/map my route. I walk most of the route, but I do run some of it. When I get in my house and everything syncs, the route map shows up on my dashboard.
Today I did the exact same route as yesterday, but I did run a little more of it. When I stopped the activity on the Fitbit app, it showed me the map just like it always does. Came in the house, let everything sync. However, when I looked at Activity on my dashboard, all is says is "run". Tells me data such as heart rate, calories burned, and heart rate zone. It does not show me the map or my pace.
I'm not sure if this means anything, but my phone and my iPad both had a message that said Fitbit automatically tracked my run. I did not use either the "walk" or "run" activity on my tracker itself...just the app on my GPS and Bluetooth enabled phone.
Any ideas why that happened? Shouldn't my Charge 2 be able to map/track a run? Tonight I went for a slower-paced walk and the GPS mapping feature worked just fine, so I'm sure it has to do with my heart rate on my walk/run. Thanks in advance for the input!

Maybe @AndreaKS, but first lets move your Android question out oh the hardware forum.
By an6 chance did you at any point during your walk press pause and then resume? Could it be this problem that is pinned to the top of the forum?

(1) How do I move my question to another forum?
(2) I didn't press pause/resume on my phone at all during my walk. I've done that before accidentally and I've had it happen where it subsequently didn't record anything. In that case, I've had to go in and manually add my activity. In this case, standing in my driveway showed that it mapped my route just fine but then syncing it in the house changed it. I suppose it's possible that there was a syncing issue related to the problem you mention. I'm about to go out and do the same route again; we'll see how it works.
