Hi @Deedee1988. It's nice to see a new member around. I'm sorry for my delayed response.

I'm glad that your mom has a Charge 2, and thanks for the steps that you've tried prior posting. To work on this, first let me share that her Samsung Galaxy A30 phone isn't part of our compatible devices list, meaning that the app hasn't been fully optimized to work with this model and we cannot guarantee that it'll always work. That said, I'd still recommend you to give a try to the following steps if you're still having issues to connect it:

  1. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that aren't in use.
  2. On her phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back one screen, tap on force stop and reboot her phone.
  4. Restart her Charge 2 and leave it plugged in.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on her profile's icon > setup a new device.
  6. Choose her Fitbit device and follow the onscreen instructions.

Let me know how it goes.
