Charge 2 not syncing, now lost years of data!

After what looks like a Fitbit issue last week of syncing issues,  unable to user Charge 2 due nearly a week,  ARG! I was finally able to re set up and get the tracker to sync again today.  HOWEVER,  there is NO data whatsoever!  All me back data is gone!  Yes,  it is the same account,  don't even stoop so low and ask me,  I've logged out and in and still won't show up,  I've tried multiple times to make it sync and just isn't loading.  I rely on this data for health reasons,  not just steps for fun etc.  Soooo... where has my data gone?  How will Fitbit put it back in my account to show up on my app.  Been looking at updating watch/ tracker... not looking good esp now for Fitbit.

Welcome to the Forums @Kgorton97.

Let me help you figure out what could've happened. Thanks for sharing everything that you have tried so far.

The first thing I'd like to mention is that the historic data on your account is not stored in a phone, or a computer, or the Fitbit itself. All of the data is stored in our servers and should be available regardless of where you are connected from.

As for the information that disappeared, I'd like to take a closer look at the situation and ask you some questions:

  • Do you remember since when did you start your account?
  • Have you synced other Fitbits with that account?
  • Do you have any other devices where you might have been logged into your account? Computers or other phones? If so, please try checking on all of them to see if the missing information shows up on any of them.

I look forward to your reply.
