Let me help you make sure your phone and Fitbit connect to each other.
The first thing I'd like to ask is if you are trying to sync or running the setup? If you are trying to sync and it won't work, please try setting up the Fitbit as if it was a replacement. That should get it working correctly. If you are already trying the setup and it won't go through then please follow the steps listed in this help article.
In the meantime, I'd like to ask you what phone is it that you are using and what Android version it is running. That could shed some light into what is going on.
