Charge 2 not syncing with S8

I have just recieved a fitbit charge 2, it wont connect to my app ive tried 

°restarting fitbit multiple times

°turned bluetooth on/off

°reset my phone (Samsung S8)

°logged in and out of app

 

Im stuck, and giving up on it, stressing me out. Been messing with it for three hours

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on.

 

Are you getting some sort of error message? If so, what does it say? In the meantime I'd recommend that you try to follow the steps listed in this help article. While you have already tried some of the steps listed in this help article, please give them a shot in the order that they show up.
