My charge hr broke and I paid the difference to get the charge hr 2 but it does not sync with my Samsung galaxy A5 2016. I cannot get it to show texts, phone calls or sync with my spanner. This is so disappointing and I am considering returning my fitbit as it does not fulfill it's promise with my phone OR am I doing something wrong OR will there be a fix?

Hello @Alycats13, nice to see you have joined to the Fitbit Community. While we've been eager to get support out as quickly as possible for more Android device, not all devices are able to be accessed by apps like the Fitbit App or some feature wont work correctly. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices. If your device isn't listed, you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added.
If a devices is not listed, not necessarily mean it will work with your tracker. Is only we cannot guarantee all features will work as it should. So in case the issue persists it wont hurt to try the following suggestions: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
For Text, Call and Calendar notifications, if your tracker is not syncing the is one of the main reason why you are not able to use these features. Although this other post might be of your interest for troubleshooting tips: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).
Hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions.

Hello @Alycats13, good to see you again and I'm glad to see the issue was resolved. Yes in this case when is about syncing you can use different devices but when its about text or call notifications only works with the phone is paired.
Stay awesome and let me know how it goes.

Hi all I just recently upgraded to a Samsung a5 2017 version and I also seem to be having problems syncing with the fitbit app as well as recieving text and calls, this feature seemed to be none existent at first but what i found was although the syncing is an issue with the updates and firmware updates fitbit did in July 24-26 it's also the settings on the phone its self that can cause the issue! as in, I released that you can have your 'content hidden' from text on the Samsung locked or open screen this also hides the content in your charge 2 screen and you will only receive 'new messages' on your fitbit if that at all.. To unlock this feature you have to go through your phone's settings......go to 'settings' then 'lock screen & security' then to 'notifications on lock screens and uncheck text, If 'content is hidden' on your phone's screen it will also be hidden on your charge 2 screen.
To solve the actual syncing issue from the a5 to your fitbit do it manually 2-3 times a day through the app, as syncing does have a few issues and compatability isn't one of the best I've ever had with the a5, compared to other phones ive had over tje yrs! first open the app and pull the screen down a couple of times even when it looks like it syncs the first time pull the screen down again! Manually syncing seems to be the best option all round at the moment until fitbit get the all day synicing compatability right! With the a5.
Hope that helps
