My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app)

Hello guys, hope you're doing great today!

TIPS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Make sure your tracker is within 20 feet of your mobile device. If your tracker and mobile device are too far away from one another, you won't receive notifications or they may be delayed.
  • Your tracker won't receive notifications if it is syncing to your mobile device when a call, text, or calendar event notification is received. If you miss or receive delayed notifications occasionally, it may be because the tracker was syncing at the same time the notification was received.
  • Determine whether other Bluetooth devices connected to your mobile device are causing interference and preventing notifications from appearing on your tracker. For more information, see The Fitbit app for Android is interfering with my other Bluetooth devices.
  • If you're receiving notifications but they seem delayed, the Bluetooth connection between your tracker and your mobile device may be unstable. You can turn on a persistent notification widget to help improve the delivery of notifications to your tracker. For more information, see the Troubleshooting section below.
  • Turn on the Always Connected option in your tracker settings (tap the tracker tile twice) to improve the Bluetooth connection between your phone and tracker. Note that turning on this feature may cause the battery on your tracker to drain more quickly than normal.
  • Make sure you're running OS 4.3 or later.
  • Note that if your tracker can receive text or calendar event notifications, your tracker will only show texts or calendar event notifications sent through the text messaging and calendar apps you chose during setup. You can receive text messages and calendar event notifications from one text messaging app and one calendar app. For example, if you choose to receive SMS text messages from the Messenger app, you won't receive text messages sent through the Google Hangout app.
  • If you recently updated the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device and try setting up notifications again.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Restart your tracker.
  2. Turn off notifications.
  3. Reboot your mobile device.
  4. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service, and then turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.

If you're still not receiving notifications, set up notifications again:

  1. Unpair your tracker from your mobile device. You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service, and then turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.
  4. If notifications still don't work, contact Customer Support.

If notifications are delayed, you can turn on a persistent notification widget to help improve the delivery of notifications to your tracker:

  1. Open the Fitbit app on your mobile device and tap your tracker tile at the top of your mobile dashboard.
  2. Tap your tracker tile a second time and tap Notifications.
  3. Turn on Enable Notification Widget

Have a nice day!
