Charge 2 unable to sync with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 anymore

Hello,

 

For my last birthday I was offered a Charge 2, and it has worked for a while until I did an update on my Redmi Note 5 and it stopped syncing completely. The phone can still pick up the signal from the watch, but when I try to pair them it says there's been a malfunction (I don't know which are the terms used in english, I have the app in french).

 

I've tried turning the bluetooth off and on again, I've tried giving it every permission, no restriction on the battery, but it still won't sync.

 

Is there anything I can do to make it work? Are there even plans for the app to be compatible with Xiaomi devices soon or should I just sell it?

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.
