Charge 2 won't pair with Android phone

My tracker stopped syncing with my fone on Tuesday evening.  Got myself very frustrated trying all sorts of things and finally removed my tracker from my account and tried to set it up again - Oops, now it won't pair - I  keep getting a four digit code which I type in, but it doesn't work.  My phone scans for my tracker and finds it, but can't pair with it.  Please help.  Thanks.

Hi @Southerner. It's nice to see a new face around the Forums.

Thanks for your efforts while trying to pair your Charge 2 with your phone. This shouldn't be happening and to further investigate may I know your phone's model and Android version? Is the Fitbit app also updated to the latest version?

Although you've tried some steps, I'd recommend to try the following:

  1. Remove your Charge 2 from the Bluetooth settings and turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby.
  2. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back one screen, tap force stop and reboot your phone.
  4. Make sure the location services are enabled.
  5. Restart your Charge 2.
  6. Open the Fitbit app and try the set up process one more time.

Give them a try and keep me posted.

Hi LizzyFitbit

Thanks for the reply. Have done as you suggested - no joy 😞

My fone is a Samsung SM-J400F and the Android Version is 9.

Hope you can help!

I've tried your suggestion too (and all the others too!!!) - didn't work for me. My fone stoped syncing with  my tracker so after much frustration I deleted the tracker (Charge2) and removed it from my account.  Now can't set it up again.  Bluetooth on my android  scans for available devices, finds it but immediately says it can't pair with the device. When I try and set it up again through the app on the fone, it finds the tracker, I get a 4 digit number to input then it tells me bluetooth is not working!  Please help.  Thanks.

All you should have to do is make sure that your phone is not paired by Bluetooth with your charge 2. Then open or reinstall the Fitbit app and go to the ‘notifications’ section on the app it should immediately prompt

tp pair. That’s for an iPhone maybe it’s different for android.

To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I still have not had my problem resolved and after having read through other messages, it seems to me that a lot of different trackers are having problems synching and pairing with different makes and models of fones.  The same 'advice' is given by different moderators to all the problems and this 'advice' does not work.  Guess what, tomorrow I go and buy a totally different make of tracker.  Sorry to say this, but thanks for nothing Fitbit.
