It seems a lot of people including myself are having issues syncing the Fitbit Charge 2 with the companion app on a Google Pixel 2. It is very annoying and with this unreliability it's difficult to recommend your products to anyone.

HI there @Jhirai20, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I appreciate your feedback and I understand your point of view. At the moment the Pixel 2 has not been listed as compatible in our list of supported devices.
Even us as moderator do not have more details of when a device is going to be supported. The difference with compatible and non-compatible devices is that we cannot guarantee the app and all the features will work as is expected due to the app is not optimized to run in these devices until our team finish the tests and determined if it is or not compatible.
If you are experiencing syncing issues, it won't hurt to try the following instructions: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this). Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
See you later and if you have more feedback stay tuned to our Fitbit Community!

This is very unhelpful. I am on my third fitbit device, but perhaps it should be my last!

Hi there @John-PaloAlto, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! I'm aware this is not the best solution and thank you for your feedback. However I'm wondering what is the issue you are experiencing? I am assuming the issue is similar to the one shared before on this thread.
Note that despite my previous reply is not the best helpful answer, is just a workaround while our team declare this phone compatible or not compatible.
Once again thank you for your comments while we work to improve the Fitbit experience.

My charge 2 won't sync since I switched to a pixel 2. I have tried all the fixes: restarting everything, removing the charge 2, and repairing etc. Before it wouldn't sync, now it won't pair with the pixel 2!
Makes my charge 2 sort of useless....

I don't understand how you are having so much trouble. I also have a charge 2 and pixel 2xl. I used the pixel instructions to switch all my information from my old Droid turbo. The app switched to the new phone with all my info intact. I did not even have to sync it to the pixel 2 xl. It was done automatically. I had 1 night out of 4 where it recorded basic sleep so far. So I restarted the phone to see if that helped. Well it worked fine the next night. I hope it continues to work. I'm sorry this isn't helpful to your situation. I am posting this so that others out there will know it can work and just as well as before. Even if it's not considered compatible.

Turn off your phone WiFi and it will sync every time. Pretty crappy to have to have a work around for such a popular device.

This didn't fix mine. I upgraded from an iPhone 6 to the Pixel XL2. I was thinking about upgrading my Charge HR too. Guess my next tracker won't be a Fitbit.

Hi Roberto, what's the hold up on making the Charge 2 compatible with the Pixel 2? My Fitbit app syncs with the Charge 2 randomly. I cannot figure out what makes it connect or not. I have restarted bluetooth, rebooted the phone...it only connects and syncs when it feels like it. It's pretty odd. Thanks for pushing Fitbit to make the magic happen with the Pixel 2.
