A warm welcome to the Community @Annabelle88. Keep in mind that your phone needs to have the MobileTrack option for you to be able to set it up. I recommend checking our list of compatible mobile devices and check if your phone is compatible to have this option.
Let me know the outcome. ![]()

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Looking at your compatibility page, it seems it doesn't support MobileTrack. I'm really curious to understand why though; I had a Microsoft Band device previously, and the Microsoft Band app was perfectly capable of tracking steps through this device.
Also, what is the MobileRun feature? I see my device apparently supports it.

@GingerBuffalo Our Android team is always working to test and add support for more Android devices. I don't have a timeline to share at this time but I will make sure to keep this thread updated if it becomes a feature available for your device.
If your tracker doesn’t have GPS or you just want to leave it at home, you can still generate maps of your activity and capture other GPS data using the Fitbit app on your mobile device. This feature is called MobileRun.

What's the latest on this?? I've got a brand new J3v6, which I assume is supported under the "Galaxy J" in the list, and in fact tracking steps was an available option for a couple houra... except it didn't track any! So I thought I'd reset things, but now "mobile device" isn't available anymore on the list in the app! What is going on?!

Hi, did you ever figure out a solution for this? I'm also using a Galaxy J but I'm not seeing the option to set up Mobiletrack...

Hi, I've got a Google Pixel XL and i'd like to use MobileTrack for times when I accidentally leave my Alta HR at home.
I've gone through the instructions to add MobileTrack, but when I try to add a new device MobileTrack is not listed.
The only way I've been able to get it to show up at all is to re-install the app and record an exercise with my phone. MobileTrack then shows up as a device in my account but always says "Linked to another device".
How do you set this up, or is it not supported anymore?

Why can't mobiletrack work with all devices. My phone is able to track steps from another app. Why not the fit bit app. It's silly that I have to base my phone purchases on whether it can work with both Mobiletrack and my charge 2.
