My new fitbit showed up yesterday. I've been trying to get it setup but when I go to the "Set up a Device" from the app I get "Network Operation failed"...down for maintenance.
How long will it be down...it's now been 12 hrs.

Got it! I had to log out of the fitbit app, on my phone, and then back in for it to recognize and not give me the error.

ok, that's a pity. I ran a search and there seem to be quite a few posts over the years on this error with some offering different suggestions. It might be a bit of a pain but going through them may help:
If you'd rather not do that then another option would be to contact customer support. It's possible they may be able to see what's happening from the server side and they may have things to try that have a better chance of working. You can contact them via contact.fitbit.com

oops, I replied too soon. Glad you got it going again. Hopefully smooth sailing from now on.
