Charge 3 and app malfunction.

Hi all,

I recently got a new Oppo R17 pro because I knew it was compatible with my Charge 3. The app and the Fitbit worked on my old Oppo even though some features didn't work well ie. Notifications, calls and such, but I was ok with that.

However when I switched over to my new phone the app malfunctions.

It finds my charge 3, sends a code and then resets the app screen so all I see is the basic info. The Fitbit itself then vibrates twice and shows an X on the screen.

I've tried EVERYTHING! reset, uninstall, phone reboot etc.

I'm at a loss. I bought this phone specifically because it was listed as compatible but obviously it isn't.

Please help.

I'm at a loss also @Sabz89

When switching phones.

Download the Fitbit app.

Log into your Fitbit account.

Grant any permissions the app asks for.

Your all setup and since the tracker gets setup to your Fitbit account, not your phone there is no need to connect the tracker to your Fitbit account. It should already be connected.

Is your old phone nearby and turned on? Have you removed the tracker from this phome? Can you use the old phone to setup your tracker?

I really am not sure why your trying to set the tracker up again?

The problem was the app itself. The app would crash when i went to open certain features like add activity and such. Because of this constant crashing i removed the device off my account to see if re-adding it would help which it didn't.

I just updated the app (2/7/19) and it has fixed the issue i was having.
