Charge 3 does not pair or sync with Note 9

My Charge 3 stop syncing from January 2019 and so I tried the following multiple times:

1) reboot the Charge 3,

2) uninstall and reinstall Fitbit app.

Both did not work. So I removed the Charge 3 as my device in the Fitbit app to reinstall it as a fresh device. I restarted both my Note 9 and the Charge 3, checked my bluetooth settings and activated location permission in the app. Now, the Charge 3 cannot even pair with the Note 9. I get to the 4 digit code and then the message is that device cannot be paired and to try again. I have done this repeatedly but still nothing. Now it is worse because my Charge 3 is not even recorded as my device. All I see on the Charge 3 now is the Fitbit logo and I need to reboot it just to see the clock face.

Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forums @SL3.

Let me help you try to get it to pair properly. Thanks for sharing all of the steps

In this case I'd recommend that you try to follow these steps:

  1. On the phone: after seeing the Not Working screen, select "Try Again"
  2. On Charge 3: open Settings > About > tap "Reboot Device"
  3. Wait for "Found your tracker" screen on phone
  4. Enter the 4-digit code and complete the pairing sequence.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately your instructions were exactly what I did multiple times with no result, before I posted the query.

Would you have any other suggestions? This Fitbit Charge 3 is effectively a white elephant if it cannot pair or sync with my Note 9.

Please do find a solution soon. Now my Charge 3 can't even be used as a regular watch as it is 15 mins behind time and there is no way to reset it as it does not pair with my phone and hence cannot sync with my phone. And yes, I have manually rebooted the Charge 3 multiple times to no avail. I have stopped using the Charge 3 and I have gotten it brand new and first hand only since December 2018.
