Charge 3 stopped syncing: SOLVED

Got Charge 3 for Christmas, setup with my Pixel XL no problem, worked fine.  Maybe a week later Charge 3 stopped syncing to phone.  Tried lots of different workarounds as described on the help page, none worked.

 

FINALLY got it to work by stopping and restarting the app on my phone.  Working like a champ now.

 

Thought I'd share this, seems a lot of folks are running into this issue...
