Charge 6 inaccurate readings

Last week my Charge 6 was giving heart rate readings between 180 and 200 during a period of inactivity. I got worried so I went to Urgent Care. While there it started showing a low rate between 50 and 60. (I felt normal this whole time minus the anxiety.)They immediately took me into triage and my blood pressure and heart rate were normal. All tests came back normal also (ekg and blood). I was told to reset my Charge 6 and then my heart rate began showing normal readings again. Just now, while relaxing, I got a notification that my heart rate was down to 52. I checked my fitbit app and minutes before it show a high of 162. I used my blood pressure monitor to check me out and my BP and heart rate showed normal. I reset my fitbit and it began showing regular heart rate again. Could my Charge 6 be faulty? Are inaccurate readings common and having to reset it a common thing? This is freaking me out everything I get these readings.

Aside from the Fitbit accuracy issue, I suggest you learn to manually take your own pulse like the nurse in the doctor's office.  Even if you don't get it exact, you can get a feel for whether it is normal or 200 bpm at rest, so you won't feel you have to rushing to the ER.  If it feels normal to you, it probably is not an emergency.  I'm not saying to ignore it, but learn to get the feel for it and trust yourself.  The fitbit is certainly not perfect and sometimes has short spikes like that.  I'm not saying to ignore them, but check for yourself if your heart rate really does seem that high.  Of course it could be that those reading really were accurate and you might feel that when you check for yourself.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
