Was having trouble syncing my Charge 6 with the android app on a Galaxy phone. Went through the song and dance and finally punted to trying to reset the tracker.. Finally got the app to "see" the tracker right after a fresh install of the app but then it will not connect to get the tracker to show the pairing code. Will not pair in the same way with a Charge 5 I had stopped using because of poor battery life. Several times I tried this with each tracker and freshly reinstalled copies of the app.
Does not seem an issue with the phone's hardware/software since it pairs properly with another device. The phone also "sees" the trackers in pairing mode in the available devices list.
Any ideas on how to proceed from here? I don't want to move on to one of the larger watches.

My Charge 6 stopped pairing a few days ago. I have tried to synch, re-pair (no go) deleted and re-downloaded the app, switched the phone off and on, deleted the phone and tried to re-install, and nothing, NOTHING works. I have the Fitbit connected to the charger and 100% charged. I have tried it disconnected. I don’t think there is any possible step I have missed.
What on earth can I do, or do I just send it back for a refund and buy another Garmin?

Please see the Moderator's post from today (29 Oct 2024) on this thread (<-- click link). She states that the fix is rolling out in app version 4.28.2.
The app updates usually roll out in waves. Keep checking the Play Store for the update and install it when it's available for you.
If you're still seeing the syncing issue after installing the update, please let us know.

@RiekoC @@installed the update and had the same result. Uninstalled and reinstalled and the same result again. So "no joy" for me with the latest update

@RiekoC updated app to 4.28.2 but it still does not work. The useless app cannot find my Versa 3 when I try to link it to the app. Tried all the steps listed in another post but it does no work.

The syncing issue is only with Android phones not iPhones. Google is trying to fix it. It has been 8 days since my charge 6 last synced. It's even losing time.

Please see the replies after your post from yesterday. The users are reporting that version 4.28.2 didn't fix the syncing issue.
Please let support know that the issue hasn't been resolved with the 4.28.2 update.

I also am having issues. Any recommended fixes for the issues? This is SO frustrating!
I verified my update is 4.28.2. However it still will not sync. Any other suggestions? This is so frustrating. Please find a fix soon.

Have been trying to set my 78 year old dad's fitbit up all week. All he wants is to see his steps from walking the dog. He's resorted to using his old, strapless fitbit in his pocket because the charge will not sync despite us updating his phone, deleting and reinstalling the fitbit app, trying to pair the watch with his tablet. It's really poor service from fitbit and Google and has made me think twice about getting myself one for Christmas.

Hi, @PhilipL, If you are trying to replace another device with your Versa 3 you will have touched the icon in the top left of the Fitbit app "Today" screen>add more devices>and may now see the whirlpool of doom. If this is the case go to your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>Force stop>clear storage & cache>then restart the Fitbit app, log in & try again. This works most of the time but if you are still stuck a more drastic fix is to go to the Fitbit app as before, Force stop>clear cache & storage>uninstall>restart your phone>reload the Fitbit app>log in again & allow the settings as prompted on your phone. In my experience (I make the device change every day) this last fix works but anticipate you will need to repeat it occasionally.
