Fitbit charge 6 won't download ecg pdf. I tried deleting app cache. Reinstalling Fitbit app.turnimg blue tooth off and on. Hard restart of phone and watch. It shows the pdf ready to download but when I try it just gets stuck. I have a Motorola phone with Android 12. It was previously working with a charge 5 that died. I also made sure all the permissions are on.

Hi @Smokingmonkey . I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for your issue. What Fitbit app version do you have?

Updated to Fit Bit App version 4.27.1.
Unfortunately it did not fix the problem.
I am still having the same issue.

I'm having the same problem. Fitbit charge 6 updated to the most recent, Samsung Galaxy s24+, unable to download the ECG report even though I see it in the list. I use this for my doctor and desperately need to have it working again.

Hello @Smokingmonkey & @IAMSick
Thank you for letting us know that you're still not able to download the ECG PDF, even after updating to the Android 4.27 version.
I'm going to see if I can find out any more information and will report back.

Hi @RiekoC I come across many of your helpful posts on here and just wanted to let you know it's appreciated!
What are the odds of the last update breaking the ability to download ECG reports and my having a doctor's appointment with 3 AFib ECGs to extract for her 😥
Anyways, I was hoping 4.27.1 was going to fix it, I'm on 4.27 but it seems it won't. How and where can I file a bug report?

Hello @Flybit
Thank you for your kind compliment. I'm a user, like yourself, who does my best to help other users with their questions & issues.
I'm very disappointed to see that Android app update 4.27 didn't fix the issue with downloading ECG pdfs. I understand how important it is to have these when one has heart issues and needs to share them with the healthcare provider.
If you don't mind me asking, where do you get stuck in the process of downloading/sharing your ECG pdf?
The best way to submit a "bug report" is by using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app. Although you likely won't get a response, the team receives and reviews the feedback reports.

Thanks for the info @RiekoC
Both the 'Download ECG' and 'Share ECG' options get stuck on the "Preparing your ECG" popup which just hangs there forever.

Hello @IAMSick
Did the issue with the ECG pdfs start after you updated your Fitbit app? Please let us know what app version you have.
Are you seeing the same problem as @Flybit , the app gets stuck at "Preparing your ECG"?

I'm going to see about escalating this and will report back when I have an update.

We all have a device on our wrist that is attempting to collect our pulse rate, I've verified my Charge4 accuracy for years now. But there is no sophisticated detection of the ECG detailed contractions, only a slight estimation, Fitbit ECG details are only an relatively minor estimate because our wrists are our arms' length away from the heart. Basically I see the Fitbit as very helpful but only indicating the heart contraction rate accurately with some attempts to detect the contraction size, not the ECG analysis details. If you see problems then it's much better to visit a doctor and describe the issues which a medical ECG detection via several electrodes on your your chest can ensure your health.
It's very helpful that a Fitbit displays basic data and our observations can prompt our health.

Actually @EdmundC, as someone with hospital-confirmed arrhythmia, my doctor said she was impressed by the quality of the ECGs I've provided her using my Charge 6 device.
Here's one captured during arrhythmia:

Hello @IAMSick
I suspect the problem started with version 4.26.1 and has continued with version 4.27, but also seems like it might be connected to the Android OS version.
We have another user with a similar issue in this thread (<-- click link). They are able to get the ECG pdf using their Chromebooks which are still on a previous version of the Fitbit app.
I've submitted both threads to the team for issue escalation. I'll report back when I have any updates to share.

Same sticking point for me. It had been downloading fine on my charge 6 until a couple of days ago

Exactly the same problem as you describe...
"When I try the "export PDF for your provider" option from the list of ECG
reports a window pops up that says downloading PDF with a "got it" button
on the bottom. Before this problem normally I would get a push notification
within seconds and able to download the PDF report. Now the push
notification never shows up and no files are appearing in any of my

By the little square box I assume you mean the notification bubble?
I tried that and it does show me notifications about my ECG PDFs being ready, but when I follow your instructions I get right back to the same problem, it stays stuck on the screens below.
However your post did remind me that final PDF downloads came in through push notifications and this is what seems to be broken since the last app update.

Thanks a lot for sharing. This works!!
"...in the new Fitbit app I clicked on the square box in the Today tab. These are notifications and messages. In the Notifications tab I could see a whole list of "your heart rate assessment pdf is ready to view". After clicking the link I was presented with a prompt to view.
Once this process was completed, push notifications started working when I downloaded additional ECG PDFs"
