Charge HR no longer syncs with Android phone

This has been going on for several weeks and has gotten progressively worse each day.  I have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps countless times (force quit app, unpair device, restart phone, etc, etc.).  Sometimes the troubleshooting steps work the first time, but most times, I have to force quit, unpair, and restart my phone several times before it finally works. I've seen these steps listed as a solution on these pages.  This is beyond inconvenient. Please tell me Fitbit has actually solved the issue?

And btw, its not my phone, bluetooth, version, internet, etc. Every other device connects as it is supposed to without issue.

I'm afraid syncing issues continue to occur from time to time for all fitbit models. Yours does seem to be worse than normal though. When it next happens try restarting your fitbit. This is usually the best chance for resolving syncing issues and may give you a quicker solution:

  1. Plug your charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Insert the other end into the port on the back of your Fitbit Charge or Fitbit Charge HR. Your tracker will begin charging.
  3. Press and hold the button for 10 to 12 seconds until you see the Fitbit icon and a version number (e.g. "V30").
  4. Let go of the button.
