A very warm welcome to the Community @sally22.
Thanks for mentioning that you have troubleshooted on your own already. In this case I think that I'd like to ask you some questions:
In the meantime I'd recommend that you try to restart your S8 and your Charge HR. In case you haven't done so, you can restart the Charge HR by following these steps:
Look forward to your reply.

Hello @sally22.
Thanks for the confirmation and letting me know that you have already tried that. I do think that the best way to move forward i to connect the two from scratch once again. Please try these steps:
Your Fitbit should start syncing once again after this.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best AnswerI just tried your suggestion, now i cant re pair them. My fitbit is not linked to my account anymore and i cant re pair them, my phone cant find my fitbit and keeps saying try again.

Hello @sally22!
Thanks for letting me know that you did try that. It seems like the issue might be coming from the Charge HR itself, in this case. Do you have the option of trying to run the setup with another device? Perhaps with a computer? That would give us more details on the Fitbit itself. If you do have a computer you can download the Fitbit Connect software from our website or download the Fitbit App from the Windows Store if you're using Windows 10.
Look forward to your reply.

Best AnswerHELP....I have tried everything noted to get my Charge HR to sync with my new Samsung S8 to no avail. My phone does not even register a bluetooth connection to the HR. Could it be my HR bluetooth is no longer working. I have uninstalled/reinstalled; used the boondoggle and tried it on my computer and it does not sync to my computer either. My phone syncs just fine to my car but not to my HR. Is there anything else I can try???
Best AnswerI agree. My Galaxy 8 doesn't even show my fitbit in my available Bluetooth devices!!!! I've tried everything in every U tube video shown. So very sad:(

Welcome to the Forums @DiJeff and @rhontel.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us and letting us know everything that you have tried to get your Fitbits to sync to your phones.
My question in this case would be if you are trying to connect them through the Fitbit app or through the phone's Bluetooth settings? It is important to note that they can only be paired through the app itself and not through the settings.
Let me know if there are any further questions.

Best AnswerI had more trouble with mine so gave up and bought a charge 2. So far I only seem to get 12 months out of the device before it starts giving me trouble. When my current one starts acting up I might just switch to another brand.

Hello @rhontel, @sally22 and @DiJeff.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and all of the steps that you have tried to get it to work.
Do you have any other device that you could try to use to get it to pair? Perhaps another phone or a computer? That should help us determine what is going on.
@sally22 Hopefully your Charge 2 will continue to work without any hiccups. If you do experience any issues be sure to let me know and I'll be happy to help you out.
Let me know if there are any further questions.
Best AnswerI have the same issue. Trying to pair my Charge HR with Samsung Galaxy S8 and it sends the number to the fitbit just fine, but then get infinite "connecting" with spinny wheel once I enter the number into my phone. I tried pairing it on my HP spectre x360 laptop running Windows 10 and it won't sync there either.
Best AnswerUPDATE: I did a factory reset of my Charge HR: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1606
and now it syncs with my phone.
