Why can't I have the date display on the face? I have the Android App. My friend has the apple app and she has the time and date.

What app you use shouldn't matter as the display options are set in your device options. There are a number of options for the time display and one of them includes the date. Have a look at page 17 of the manual which explains how to change this

I did all of that but it does not give a choice for date - just a 12 or 24
hour clock.
Thanks for trying to help me.

@Whisperjz Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Go to the Fitbit app and tap the menu icon (three lines on the tip left corner). Tap "Devices" and then tap on "Charge HR". Scroll down and tap on "Clock Display". You will be able to select the digital clock face which includes the date.
