Cheer only working intermittently

Both my husband and I have had trouble sending cheers to our friends lately, using the Android app. It just doesn't seem to respond no matter how much you tap, then sometimes it seems as if you have actually sent loads of cheers. Or none at all (the more common scenario). What is causing this lack of response?

Hello @Elliekennard! Thanks for bringing this up.

I'd like to investigate a bit on what is happening. Can I ask you some questions?

  • Could you take a screen shot showing what you described?
  • What mobile device are you using to send the cheers?
  • Have you tried sending cheers to multiple friends or one?
  • Have you tried using a different mobile device or a computer to do this?

Look forward to your reply so that I can get a better understanding of the situation.

Hi there @LanuzaFitbit

Thanks for the reply. You asked:

  • Could you take a screen shot showing what you described?
  • (Reply) taking a screenshot of something not happening is tricky. 😉
  • What mobile device are you using to send the cheers?
  • (Reply) Note 4
  • Have you tried sending cheers to multiple friends or one?
  • (Reply) to multiple friends
  • Have you tried using a different mobile device or a computer to do this?
  • (Reply) tried on a different Note 4 using a different account (My husband is having the same problem on his own Note 4).

What seems to happen is that at times it takes an extremely long time to send a message to say a Cheer has successfully been sent. So you try again, thinking it has not responded. Sometimes it has responded, but it takes so long to respond that you send multiple cheers before it lets you know they were sent. And the recipient gets multiples, which is super annoying.

And yet sometimes it seems to work, responding relatively normally.

I hope this helps.

Hello @Elliekennard!

You are absolutely right on your first reply. I was thinking maybe you got some sort of message and that;s why I asked about a screen shot.

It could be an issue with the connection between the mobile devices and the servers. Are you using your Note 4 (or your husband's) while connected to a Wi-Fi signal or to a mobile data plan? If you're using one of those and not the other, let's try to switch it up.

Look forward to your reply.
