Cardio fitness and sleep stages benchmark provide some information that allows you to compare yourself to a similar population average. However it doesn't provide accurate information and leaves A LOT up to interpretation.

My Cardio fitness is 49-53 (good to very good), does that mean I'm in top 30%? in top 5%? top 1%? I have no way to determine and there is a huge difference between those.

As for sleep stages benchmark, it shows in my case 12-23% as the range for deep sleep for men my age. But is that 65% confidence interval , or 95% confidence interval, or something else? I have 10% deep sleep personally, so am I bottom 8% (not a big deal) or bottom 0.04% (better go tell my doctor), or something else?

I understand what you're saying but while you are not requesting a new function, you are requesting a change in the way the is data presented. Please keep in mind that we are mainly just other Fitbit users here. We cannot implement change. If you want Fitbit to hear and hopefully take action, you should post your request to the Feature Suggestion board

You raise good questions, @Ootakamoku. You could take some screen grabs of your sleep info and take them to your next doctor appointment or to your next physical if you are concerned. I've done that with some of my Fitbit info.

But you can also go the Feature Suggestion forum, and either

  • Search for your specific idea. If you find it, add your vote to it, or
  • If you do not find your request, post it so others may vote for it.

I did a search for "better sleep info" and this is what I found.

I was hesitant to call it a feature request, because all I want is an accurate description of what the provided information actually means. Right now to my eye the information provided looks similar to cookie recipe would that would contain the following line "add 5 milk". Which makes no sense, is it "5 gallons of milk" or "5 carton of milk" or "5 liters of milk" or maybe "5 deciliters of milk". I don't care about finding more information about baking in general.

So my questions are :

What is the confidence interval of the benchmark sleep stages.

What is the distribution of the cardio fitness classifications.
