Hi, I've switched from Apple to android and can no longer use my fitbit which is a shame as I used it avidly.
Could anyone at Fitbit update on the time scales for adding phones to the compatible user list as it feels like a lot of the android community get left behind! I understand that testing takes time and knew when I got my phone that it wasn't on the list (though it's a reasonable new model! Huawei P20 Lite) but it seems very few androids released after 2015 are on the list! cant help but notice the nice new features and quick additions of apple phones to the compatible devices list...iPhone X anyone?
Are Fitbit simply just not investing in the android community?

Hi there @Verrers, nice to have new faces in the Fitbit Community! Thank you for your great feedback.
Rest assure we are not trying to abandon the Android Community. However as you mentioned, with Android there are too many variations that comes with each brand that it takes longer to complete the tests, for the same reason we do not have a timeframe to provide when a mobile device is going to be added as compatible.
There are some Huawei devices that has presented incompatibility issues regarding the Bluetooth in the past. At the moment the Huawei P20 Lite is one of the most recent versions, so we cannot confirm or deny that it suffers of the same Bluetooth incompatibility.
Something important to mention, is despite a device is not listed as Compatible, is not an statement that the app or the tracker won't work. For more details please refer to our article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Stay tuned for more Android updates in the future.
